Review on the role of antioxidant supplementation against oxidative stress: a human and animal approach to male fertility

To understand and mitigate this event, many studies have used different antioxidants, orally or in vitro supplementation, trying improve sperm quality function. Considering extensive available literature regarding approaches attempts solve male fertility issues, aim review evaluating effects antioxidant supplementation on sperm, both humans experimental models with animals. This selected original data from PubMed. The keywords were: antioxidant, fertility, infertility; term "rodents" was added descriptors “antioxidant” “male fertility”. Only published indexed journals, English, between 2015 2019 were included. involves i) human ii) rodent sperm.
